The book aims to expel the consolidation stereotypes, myths and dramatizations about the issue of Internet and Crime. Through scientific arguments, it highlights the reasons why authority attempts to cultivate moral panic and pathological fears in order to impart criminal dimensions in a medium. The existing structures of internet crime have brought changes in the criminological thinking and ethical/legal concerns which prove that unless a critical attitude is established towards the moral/legal “panic”, then the internet will be linked to major socio-economic interests.
